CSULB Showcases New Autonomous Systems Lab and Drone Cage to City and Industry Leaders

Dr. Liu hosted the mayor of Long Beach, the president of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), the dean of the College of Engineering, and a group of industry leaders for a tour of CSULB’s newly built drone cage and Autonomous Systems Lab.
Guests also saw demonstrations of a Department of Defense–funded drone swarm and a self-driving ground vehicle fleet, showcasing CSULB’s growing capabilities in multi-robot coordination, perception, and control. Discussions focused on research collaboration, internships, and workforce development to support Southern California’s autonomy and advanced mobility ecosystem.
